The Formula

A key and exclusive ingredient in the Patch-It Series is purified Mandarin Wood Vinegar, obtained from the double-distillation of wood trimmings from a very specific species of Mandarin Orange Tree, grown in pristine environmental conditions on volcanic soil, on an island in South Korea.

Purified Mandarin Wood Vinegar is quite unlike other wood vinegars, which are often obtained as a by-product from the industrial production of charcoal, for example Bamboo vinegar. The vinegar used in the Patch-It Series is harvested solely for use in health care products and therefore of a much superior quality – in fact, in its pure liquid form it is of food-grade quality and often taken as a daily tonic.

Once distilled, the vinegar is then aged for around 9 months before being converted to a powder form after final purification. The powder is then combined with finely ground black Brazilian Tourmaline and Green Tea.

Tourmaline is a semi-precious gemstone that magnifies the effect of the Mandarin Wood Vinegar and has long been associated with healing, whilst Green Tea is an excellent antioxidant that provides protection for the skin should the patch become wet during use. These powerful natural ingredients are then packaged into an easy to use ‘tear and wear’ foot patch that is hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested.

How can it help me?

The traditional Chinese understanding of the properties of wood vinegars are that it is both “warming” and “drawing”. The warming element provides stimulation to the point of application – therefore by applying Patch-It to the soles of the feet, the reflex zones are stimulated, which in turn promotes healthy circulation.

This warming effect is a result of Far Infrared Energy (FIR) being emitted by the Mandarin Wood Vinegar – a particular part of the infrared (heat) spectrum that you cannot see or feel. With a thermal imaging camera however, you can see and measure FIR, which the manufacturers of Patch-It have done during many independently supervised clinical trials, to demonstrate the effect of Patch-It on circulation.

The drawing effect promotes better cleansing as a result of improved circulation, meaning the body is able to rid itself of toxins and find a more ‘balanced’ state through all the normal body channels such as sweating and the passing of waste. A build-up of toxins can contribute to a number of ailments such as aches and pains, fatigue, poor skin, digestive issues and a weakened immune system.
